About this service

Please note, this service is not currently running.

A collaborative initiative between Southwark and Lambeth councils focused on raising awareness about HIV prevention in Latin American communities.

This service offers health promotion interventions led by our exceptional Portuguese and Spanish-speaking team, who visit various areas within the two boroughs to engage with people and provide information on a range of HIV prevention methods. These include distributing condoms, offering HIV testing services, and educating people about PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) medication which can prevent people from contracting HIV.

Who can use this service

PrEP is available for everyone who is at higher risk of an HIV infection. PrEP works whatever your gender, sexuality or ethnicity.

Why people use this service

  • I want to protect my health.
  • I want access to accurate information and resources for HIV prevention.
  • I want to be proactive in safeguarding myself and my community against HIV infections.
