The Ministry of Justice has recently provided three years funding to the Metro Centre to support LGBT victims of hate crime across South East London. This support will include counselling, mentoring and groups. The Metro Centre's own data, from the 2010 Needs Assessment indicates that over 50% of LGBT people have experienced some form of hate crime. This service will provide much needed emotional support to this group of people.
