GREENWICH SEXUAL HEALTH WEEK

METRO Charity is working with Royal Borough of Greenwich and Oxleas NHS Trust to encourage Greenwich residents and organisations across the borough to get involved in this year's Greenwich Sexual Health Week, which runs from 24th November to World AIDS Day on 1st December.

The aim of the Greenwich Sexual Health week is to encourage Greenwich residents to take control of their sexual health and to take up free sexual health advice and testing opportunities. There will be teams of staff at venues across the borough sharing information and linking people with their local sexual health services including at:
- Woolwich Library
- Greenwich and Woolwich rail stations
- Thamesmead town centre
- General Gordon Square, Woolwich

Royal Greenwich and METRO are also encouraging organisations to get on board to support the week by promoting the week and events through their own social media using #GSHWeek2014.

'Sexual health is so important to our overall health and wellbeing and we are delighted to be supporting Greenwich Sexual Health Week. We know that these weeks are effective in raising awareness and increasing uptake of what is available in the borough. As a charity that has a long history of promoting sexual health and preventing HIV we are also pleased that the week raises awareness of HIV testing. We urge people to get tested and to know their HIV status.'
