We are very pleased to have been awarded funding from the London Community Response Fund to support some of our most isolated services users who are experiencing hardship during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The funding will be used to tackle digital exclusion and improve service users' access to METRO's online services through the provision of IT equipment, phones and data packages alongside dedicated IT support, as well as more general support from volunteers.

METRO responded swiftly to the risks posed by COVID-19 pausing all face-to-face work and rapidly reorienting services to online or phone delivery, with our team of staff and volunteers working from home.

However, we identified that a significant proportion of our service users are unable to access services online. This funding will enable us to address the connectivity issues faced by our service users by providing 30 households with tablets, providing 4G data vouchers, and offering one-to-one remote IT support from our trusted IT partner, DHTS.
