Priorities for the new Prime Minister

We are pleased that we now have a prime minister in office, so that government can now address a number of critical issues.

Our priorities for Truss and her new cabinet are:

• Addressing the cost of living crisis, with a particular focus on support for those most impacted, including disabled people, those living in poverty - especially children - and families more broadly. 
• Delivering a fully trans-inclusive ban on conversion therapy.
• Ensuring resources are available to tackle Monkeypox, with a focus on access to vaccinations. 
• Reversing immigration policies that see people sent to Rwanda.
• Ensuring that charities and community groups are included in any support for businesses to combat the rising cost of utilities and inflation generally.
• Creating a clear and comprehensive plan to maintain and improve social care alongside primary care despite the reversal of the increase in National Insurance.
