UK Government decision to block Scotland's Gender Recognition Reform Bill

We are saddened to hear the UK Government has made the decision to block Scotland's Gender Recognition Reform Bill through an order under Section 35 of the Scotland Act.

To intervene at this point, once the bill has passed, is disrespectful to both the Scottish Parliament and all communities benefitting from this law. We are disappointed that the current concerns of the UK Government were not raised much earlier in this process.

To our trans, non-binary and gender-diverse communities, we see you, and stand with you in absolute solidarity.
